Thompson Creek Shaving Soap
I love searching for new shaving products. Sometimes I search online for the sake of just searching and finding new products that I might be interested in trying. There are many different shave products available to try and if you don’t know exactly what you are looking for it can be somewhat overwhelming. Shave soap is one of those products that come in many different forms and containers. Shave soap comes in two different consistencies of soft and hard. Soft shave soap should not be mistaken for shaving cream. Shaving cream has a very soft consistency that does not require a lot of pre lather work. Soft shaving soap still requires pre lather work but has a faster response time to building a great lather for an even greater shave. A soft shave soap does not require either a hard or soft bristled shave brush, it’s your choice. Hard shave soap requires more work to build a great lather. It has a hard bodied consistency that requires several rotations of your shave brush to loosen the top layer of the shave soap for a good creamy lather. A hard bodied shave soap works best with a hard bristled shave brush.
The Thompson Creek Shaving Soap comes shaped in bar form that has a hard consistency but requires little product to produce a big lather. It only takes a small portion of product to start a pre lather that takes little time to work into a respectable thick creamy lather. The robust lather filled my bowl with a thickened substance that rested heavily inside the bristles of my silver tipped badger hair shave brush. The rich and creamy lather transferred from my shave brush to my dome and face with a smooth application that spread evenly and provided a great shave. The rich and creamy lather covered my dome and face with an even consistency that felt smooth and comfortable. The lather also had a great cushion with a slickness that provided my razor with a smooth surface for shaving away all that unwanted hair and left razor burn cuts and scrapes behind and forgotten. After several days of shaving with Thompson Creek Shaving Soap I noticed an overall level of smoothness that I didn’t have before. My Dome and face felt extra supple and hydrated and my Dome had a great natural shine. I was thoroughly impressed with the Thompson Creek Shaving Soap from Perry County Soap and after you try this shaving soap you will be as well.
One quality of every shave product I look for when using is the abundance of lather compared to product used. The Thompson Creek Shaving Soap from Perry County Soap creates an abundance of lather from minimal product used. I shaved off one corner of this large bar of shaving soap and dropped it into my shave bowl. I then soaked my brush in hot water to open up the hard bristles of my badger hair silver tipped shave brush and finally started to lather the shave soap for my nightly shave. I stated previously that it took minimal time to work up a good lather with the soap from Thompson Creek Shaving Soap. The lather was robust, rich and creamy and felt smooth before, during and well after my nightly shave was done. The performance and abundance of lather compared to amount of product used proves that the Thompson Creek Shaving Soap from Perry County Soap is a shaving product good for your Dome and face as well as your pocket.
So what are my final thoughts on the Thompson Creek Shaving Soap from Perry County Soap? A great and comfortable shave with little product needed. The shave soap from Perry County Soap creates a thick and creamy lather that provides a good cushion with a slickness that aides your razor with a smooth surface for shaving away that hair one strand at a time leaving your Dome and face as smooth as you want it to be. I’m very satisfied with the results from Perry County Soap and to have it in my shave den with my other shave products.
